He first appeared on stage at the age of 7 under the guidance of H. Abrahamyan at the Leninakan Drama Theater named after V. Achemyan.
As an actor, he has performed in more than 40 plays and films. From 1984 to 1994, he worked at the Leninakan Drama Theater. From 1988 to 1992, he was part of the Yerevan National Academic Theater named after G. Sundukyan, and from 1995 to 1998, he worked at the Yerevan Theater for Young Audiences. Since 1996, he has been a director and actor at the Yerevan State Chamber Theater. He was the author and host of several television programs on the channels “ERKAT” and “Yan TV”.
In 2001, on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity, he organized a large-scale open-air performance of the rock opera “Grigor the Illuminator” at the Cascade complex.
Since 2009, he has headed the cultural club “ERKAT”. He has participated in more than 30 national and international theater and film festivals.

The play “The Penguins” will give children the opportunity to observe events from the perspective of penguins. It combines themes of friendship and closeness, repentance and redemption, expressed in simple and understandable language. Audiences will see how three amusing penguins overcome obstacles during the performance. Actress Zhanna Kocharyan began her career with student performances. She played roles in plays such as “Little People,” “Lead Rings,” and also portrayed the main heroine in the play “The Little Mermaid” at the Yerevan State Youth Theatre. Her entry into the Chamber theatre was marked by the play “Hamlet,” where she initially played a court lady and later the role of Ophelia.
