Sona Matevosyan’s acting career began during her university years, where she actively participated in various theatrical productions. She performed in plays such as “Golden Key,” “I Don’t Know You Anymore,” and “Flies.” At the Puppet theatre, she took part in productions like “The Nose,” “Christopher,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Witch,” and at the Yerevan State Youth theatre, she played roles in productions like “Virus,” “King Lear,” “Mercedes,” “You Are Invited to a Birthday,” “The Last Teacher,” “Sword of Ivarshi,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Matthew and Matilda,” “Sghonts Mihran,” and others.
Sona also played the lead role in the play “Daredevils of Sassoun” at the National Academic Theatre named after G. Sundukyan and participated in experimental performances like “Kin-Code” and “Family Without a Roof.”
In 2015, she took part in the summer theatre school under the guidance of Alexander Kalyagin, a member of the Union of Theatre Workers of Russia, where she performed in the physical theatre play “Mysterious Signs” by Alexey Ishuk.
In 2017, Sona attended the summer school at the Stella Polaris Theatre in Norway.
Sona Matevosyan joined the acting ensemble of the Chamber Theatre in 2020 with the play “Government Concert.” Subsequently, she performed in productions such as “Cabaret Restart,” “To Arms,” “Birth Certificate,” “Romeo & Juliet,” “Fe-Show,” and “B14/27.”
The actress has also appeared in television projects, including “In the City,” “Together,” “Outdance,” “Heritage,” “+-23,” and “Women’s Club.” She participated in the show “Ball.”
