ARSHALUYS HARUTYUNYAN

Born on January 26, 1977 in Potsdam, Germany.

Graduated from Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography as an  actor of Dramatic Theater and Cinema.
He first appeared on the stage at the age of 7, under the leadership of Kh. Abrahamyan at the Gyumri Drama Theater after V. Achemyan.
He has acted as an actor in over 40 performances and films.
Since 1984-94  worked at the Gyurmi Drama Theater.
Since 1988-92 at the Sundukyan National Academic Theater of Yerevan.
Since 1995-98 at the Yerevan theatre of the young spectator.
Since 1996 he has been working as a director and actor at Yerevan State Chamber Theater.

In 1995 he participated in the first director’s work “Theate, may you be glorified and your name wiil be forever” and was recognized as the winner of the youth festival “Theater Spring”.
He was the author and the host of a number of television programs on the TV channels “ERKAT” and “YAN TV”.
In 2001 on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of conversion to Christianity, he staged a mass outdoor performance of the rock-opera “Gregory the Illuminator” in Cascade.
Since 2009, he has led the cultural club ERKAT.
Member of more than 30 national and international theater and film festivals.
In 2013 in the nomination “The Best Performance of the year” was awarded the Artavazd Prize (“Scotch and Whiskey”).
In 2015 on the occasion of the International Theater Day, was awarded an honorary medal of the city of Yerevan for his contribution to the field of theater art, the creation and dissemination of artistic values.
In 2015 Arshaluys Harutyunyan was awarded the “Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia” prize for his contribution to stage art.
